Allergy Therapeutic Non-Executive Board Director

Cheryl is a healthcare business leader with a proven track record developing strategy, driving commercial growth, and catalyzing talent excellence. Cheryl is universally known as a collaborative, purpose-centred leader and advisor, outstanding at stakeholder engagement,  who inspires transformative performance by mentoring and coaching people to thrive. She brings diverse and global insight with a keen eye for the highest standard of ethics and accountability to enhance Board effectiveness.

Cheryl is currently a Board Director at Allergy Therapeutics plc (LON:AGY) and at Diaceutics plc (LON:DXRX), two purpose-driven companies with strong innovation in life sciences and pharma tech, committed to improving life for patients. As a Board member, she chairs the Human Resources Compensation Committees and is a member of the Audit & Risk Committees at both companies. Previously in an executive role in the UK at ViiV Healthcare, a purpose-powered company dedicated to eradicating HIV with a mission to leave no person living with HIV behind, Cheryl set global strategy, ensuring access to medicines through a new wave of transformative medicines for the 39 million people around the world living with HIV, and modernizing the customer experience through digital engagement. During her time at GSK in the US, Cheryl had P&L accountability >$4B USD with teams of up to 3000 employees and leadership of US operations where she drove game-changing moves that pivoted the business trajectory, launched new medicines, and surpassed external benchmarks in employee engagement. She turned around a business in crisis, returned the US primary care business to growth, gained share, and outpaced the market. Cheryl began her life sciences career at GSK in Canada with roles across Medical, Marketing and Sales.

Cheryl holds a Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto, a Masters, Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto, and Executive Leadership/Board development from Harvard, Rotman, Wharton and Columbia.
